GODSMACK AT THE CYNTHIA WOODS MITCHELL PAVILION IN HOUSTON - PHOTO GALLERY BY MICHAEL MULLENIX

Fellow Beasts! Last week in Houston Like A Storm, Shinedown, and headliner Godsmack took over the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion for a night of Hard Rocking Metal!  Like A Storm thundered the audience first kicking off their set with a Didgeridoo from their native New Zealand and then launching into a fierce fist-pumping setlist of fan favorites like Pure Evil and The Devil In Me.  Next up it was Shinedown's time to set northern Houston ablaze with an explosive performance!  As the band played hits such as Diamond Eyes and Cut The Chord pyrotechnics lit up around them and the fireworks reigned from the rafters.  Lastly though, the reason for the season was Godsmack, the perfect summer band!  Fire? CHECK! Evolving stage setup? CHECK! Teeth gritting Metal?  YOU KNOW THAT'S A CHECK!  Godsmack played into one jammed packed list of their loudest and most gripping songs they could muster, anthems like 1000HP, Awake, Whatever, and Cryin Like A Bitch!  Of course the band brought the show to a thunderous conclusion on the clutching I Stand Alone and sent an absolutely feral crowd home wanting more!  It is my pleasure to bring back to the magazine, LIKE A STORM, SHINEDOWN, and GODSMACK!
