The Get Up Kids - House of Blues Houston - Review and Photos by Chris Brown

The Get Up Kids with Casket Lottery at House of Blues - Houston, TX

The Get Up Kids are currently on tour with Casket Lottery, supporting their newest addition to their discography, Kicker, an EP released last month on Polyvinyl Record Co. The bands almost all original lineup was present, excluding bassist Rob Pope, who's duties were filled with Saves the Day bassist, Rodrigo Palma.

The Lawrence, Kansas natives have been touring in excess of 2 decades, having formed in 1995, with only a short break from being a band in the mid 2000's to pursue other musical endeavors from 2005-2008. (The New Amsterdams, White Whale, Koufax, Spoon, Matt Pryor solo music)

All of the fan favorites were played such as Out of Reach, Red Letter Day and Campfire Kansas sung by guitarist Jim Suptic. After delivering a solid setlist, including tracks from the new EP, the crew returned to an already ecstatic crowd to a perform a much appreciated encore.
