3 DOORS DOWN AT THE HEB CENTER - PHOTO GALLERY BY MICHAEL MULLENIX

The summer concert season rocks on with the arrival of 3 Doors Down on July 18th to the HEB Center in Cedar Park, Texas.  The Mississippi Alt-Rock Titans took the stage and launched out on the song Duck And Run, setting the stage for the fist pumping Hard Rock anthems to come.  No doubt that 3 Doors Down is an interesting chapter of the Post-Grunge, Alternative Rock scene that nestled an interesting corner of modern American Mainstream music (which included a Presidential inauguration), and this was on full display during the band's packed performance in the Austin Area.  The band's setlist reflected their 20 year history including the more energized hits such as Still Alive and My Way down to the slower jams like Be Like That and Let Me Go and even grungier efforts like Loser.  I suppose only one song is directly about the United States Military, Citizen/Soldier, even though those of us that grew up with them might be mistaken for believing this applied to most all of their songs.  Of course the band made it a point to dedicate this song to our men and women in uniform and was received with the loudest cheers from the audience.  The band ultimately brought the show to a close on the songs Kryptonite, Here Without You, and When I'm Gone! It is my pleasure to bring back to BAH Magazine, 3 Doors Down!
