THEM EVILS INTERVIEW WITH JORDAN GRIFFIN

Image
BAH: Let our readers know who you guys are and who does what in the band? How did y'all meet?
TE: I’m Jordan and I play guitar and sing. David is the drummer and Jake plays bass. Jake and I actually grew up in Vegas together on the same street. We've known each other since middle school. David and I were introduced through a coworker of mine - I told her I was tired of trying out Craig’s List drummers so she gave me his contact info. During the first jam we knew it was a fit. You could feel it in the air.
BAH: Your sound, your beautiful sound!  How did that come about?
TE: We always wanted something driven and punchy with a blend of overdriven amp tone and fuzz. It’s something that just flowed naturally and came about organically.
BAH: Talk to us about your new single "Got Me Rockin'"!  We here at BAH can't stop listening to it! What inspired the song?
TE: Thank You, we’re really glad you like it!  We feel it represents us well and embodies the direction we want…

BAND SPOTLIGHT: AGAINST WHAT'S BEST POP-PUNK FROM WATERTOWN, NEW YORK

Image
Against What's Best is a 4-piece pop-punk band out of Watertown, New York, heavily inspired by bands like All Time Low, A Day to Remember, and Four Year Strong. They combine catchy melodies, relatable lyrics, upbeat drums, and heavy guitar riffs to create music that they all love.

Against What's Best formed when brothers Jake Harris, and Alex Harris decided to start writing music together. Jake was previously working on solo acoustic material, while Alex wanted to be in a heavy metal band. They compromised, and began writing original pop-punk until they could find other band members. Jake would be the rhythm guitarist/vocalist, and Alex would be the lead guitarist. They eventually recruited their long time friend Kyle Anders, as the bassist/vocalist, and long time friend Justin Edgar, as the drummer.
They released their debut self-recorded 6 track EP "Wasting Away In Upstate" on March 15th, 2016. Shortly after, they began the writing process for their first full leng…

BETWEEN THE BURIED AND ME STORM COME AND TAKE IT LIVE IN 2018 - PHOTO GALLERY BY MICHAEL MULLENIX

Image
Fellow Beasts, the insanity of SXSW is becoming a faded and gut-wrenching memory but it is my sincere pleasure to get back to METAL!  Starting off, Between The Buried And Me showed up at our humble little spot for all things ROCK, Come And Take It Live. Touring in support of the new Album Automata 1, the band dug through an absolute plethora of the most intricate and engrossing melodies in their quiver from new songs like Blot and Condemned To The Gallows to older hits such as Dim Ignition and Silent Flight Parliament. It is my pleasure to bring you the sights of the band's run through Austin, here they are, BETWEEN THE BURIED AND ME!
