LIKE A STORM Break New Records With Latest Single "Pure Evil" First Song Off The Band's Upcoming Album 'Catacombs'

Image
New Zealand hard rock/metal act Like A Storm have just released their formidable new single, “Pure Evil”. The first offering from the band’s upcoming new record, Catacombs, is already creating a buzz amongst their fans and musical peers alike.  “Pure Evil” was initially released to coincide with Like A Storm’s recent UK & European arena tour with Alter Bridge, Volbeat & Gojira. But word spread about the new track, and it was picked up by radio stations across America - breaking into the US Rock Top 50 without even being released as a single.  As a result, “Pure Evil” has just become the fifth American Top 50 single in a row for Like A Storm - the first time in history that a New Zealand artist has achieved such consecutive success in US rock radio. The song itself, described as “seven minutes of pure art” by AltCorner, marks the next evolution of Like A Storm’s sound - blending progressive metal’s heavy riffage, double-kick drumming and soaring solos with haunting textures and an…

AIRBOURNE REVEAL OFFICIAL VIDEO FOR "IT'S ALL FOR ROCK N' ROLL"

MOTORHEAD'S LEGENDARY "BOMBER" FLIES ONCE MORE IN MEMORY OF A FALLEN FRIEND + AN ALL-TIME ICON
AIRBOURNE have revealed a rip-roaring video for "It's All For Rock N' Roll," the climactic track on their current studio album, Breakin' Outta Hell - their first for Spinefarm Records.  "It's All For Rock N' Roll" was written about Lemmy, a man the band looked up to, befriended and loved, having shared stages with Motörhead on numerous occasions over their decade-plus career, both in Europe and Australia. When they needed someone to drive a large truck (recklessly, of course) in their "Runnin' Wild" video (2007), Lemmy was the first name on the list, and he duly obliged with a memorable, authority-baitin' cameo. Motörhead's famous "bomber" lighting rig, a noted part of 'Head history since the late '70s, was enthusiastically lent to Airbourne by the Motörhead camp, adding real emotional weight to both t…

APOCALYPSE IS HEADING OUR WAY! SLAYER, LAMB OF GOD, AND BEHEMOTH SUMMER TOUR!

Image
There are many perilous ways one can spend time off - volcano-boarding down Cerro Negro, Nicaragua's active volcano, or maybe bungee jumping from a helicopter over the bubbling crater of Chile's Villarrica volcano. How about a visit to Sao Paulo's Snake Island, home of some 4000 golden lancehead vipers whose venom can melt human flesh, or shark diving without a cage in South Africa. But nothing is quite as hazardous or risky as a night in the pit at a Slayerconcert. Add to that the ferociousness ofLamb of GodandBehemoth, and you've got a Satan-approved triple bill of Biblical proportions.

The six-week expedition will rage across North America beginning July 12 in Bemidji, MN, winding up in Phoenix, AZ on August 20. Slayer and Lamb of God will also play Wisconsin's Rock Fest 2017 (7/13) and Rock USA 2017 (7/15), and then meet up with Behemoth at the Chicago Open Air Festival on July 16. Tickets go on sale this Friday, March 3; log on to www.slayer.net/tour for all pu…

Blacktop Mojo Release Title Track Off of Upcoming LP, 'Burn The Ships' Blacktop Mojohave released the second and title single in anticipation of theirMarch 10th, 2017LP,Burn The Ships. Burn The Shipsis available for pre-order viaBandcamp. "We all quit our jobs at about the same time to make this record and play as much as possible—that was our all in, no going back moment. It reminded me of a story we heard from the 1500s about a Spanish explorer that sailed to conquer a territory. Once they landed on the beach, he burned all the ships so all his men knew one thing was clear, there's no going back. That's what that song is about, and that's the story of our lives at the point of the record being created." - Blacktop Mojo

"If Soundgarden and Lynyrd Skynyrd were to take a roll in the hay, nine months later, out would pop Blacktop Mojo."Formed in September 2012, armed with a simple demo and a dream, they set out to play as many shows as they could, to…
