Black Stone Cherry packed the house at the Green Bay Distillery in Green Bay, Wisconsin. They brought with them special guests, Gemini Syndrome, Through Fire, and 10 Years.
Through Fire started off the night with a high-energy set. Formed in 2015, Through Fire gained a large fan base in a short amount of time with their unique sound. Energies were still high throughout Through Fire’s set as they played their hit songs like “Stronger” and “Breathe”. The vocalist Grant Joshua Kendrick was sure to keep the interactions with the crowd high, and making sure energies were high from the beginning of their set to the end of their set.
Gemini Syndrome was next on the stage. Gemini Syndrome is an American alternative metal band formed in 2010 in Los Angeles, California. The band currently consists of vocalist Aaron Nordstrom, drummer Brian Steele Medina and bassist Alessandro "(AP)" Paveri. Their debut album, titled Lux, was released in September 2013. Reviewers drew comparisons to bands like Mudvayne, Five Finger Death Punch, and Tool. Four singles spawned from Lux: "Pleasure and Pain," "Left of Me," "Basement," and "Stardust,"
After Gemini Syndrome was 10 Years, which is an American alternative metal band, formed in Knoxville, Tennessee in 1999. The band consists of Jesse Hasek (lead vocals), Brian Vodinh (drums, guitar, backing vocals), Chad Huff (bass guitar) and Matt Wantland (guitar). To date, they have released seven albums, the latest of which, From Birth to Burial, was released in April 2015. Their eighth studio album, (How to Live) As Ghosts, is scheduled for release on October 27, 2017. But they gave the crowd what they wanted a song from the pasted called “Wasteland” which got the whole crowd sing along.
Then the crowd went absolutely insane when Black Stone Cherry finally took the stage. Throughout the years Black Stone Cherry has really kept true to their sound, listeners can hear the same style throughout their set as they played songs new and old. John Fred Young to this day is still one of the many fierce drummers I have ever seen perform live. Guitarist Ben Wells was also not able to stand still the entire performance, constantly running around the stage and jumping around. He was definitely feeding off of the energy and reactions from the crowd.
But this night could not have happened with out the help of our local radio station 94.7 the Razor in Green Bay Wisconsin and one of the most kick ass promoters National Event Promotions for always bring big name acts like the one s at this years Edgefest 2017 in Green Bay, WI on September 21st.
