"We stand in solidarity with those fighting racism and fascism in the streets of Charlottesville and beyond. We believe it is time for the removal of all monuments to the confederacy and the racism for which they stand. We must put these symbols of white supremacy into places where the proper context can be provided for what they actually are; outdated, backwards, and antithetical to what we believe the values of humanity should be. It is past time to have real conversations on systemic racism and America's history of it. There are museums memorializing the Holocaust all across Europe, while America continues to try to hide from its racist and murderous past and present." — Anti-Flag
"Pray for the dead, and fight like hell for the living." — Mother Jones
We here at BAH Magazine we asked to get the word out about one of our favorite bands Alter Bridge and the single "My Champion", we were ready and willing to help! Our review of the album can been seen here: http://www.bahmagz.com/2016/10/album-review-alter-bridge-last-hero-4.html but I wanted the fans to let the world know what the song and Alter Bridge means to them and they have shared some amazing stories in tribute to "My Champion" please enjoy!
James Schmid from Waterloo, Ontorio. Alter Bridge provides everything you'd expect from a rock radio hit, while also giving die hard AB fans everything they expect from their beloved band with My Champion.
The song opens with a guitar riff reminiscent of Def Leppards "Photograph" before hitting you square in the face with a "heavy for radio" sound that remains catchy without disappointing their "we like it fast and hard" fans. Their fan base, and music ranges in such a wide spectrum, it…
Cane Hill brought their Louisiana industrial sound to the
Chameleon Club in Lancaster, Pennsylvania on March 11th of 2017. It
was a Saturday night which meant the people of PA were ready to party! There is
always a party following this band. Their energetic sound ignites something in
people. As they took the stage as the opener of the “Let’s Get
Abducted Tour” the crowd was anxious. They played multiple songs from their
2016 summer released album “Smile” and to the bands surprise most of the folks
watching them were mouthing the words. As they recently got back from touring
overseas it has come to their attention that they are steadily gaining
popularity. The link below allows you to find where they will be next along
with album and merchandise purchasing info. Look out world, Cane Hill is coming
for you. http://wearecanehill.com/
Madison Wisconsin's stoner rock trio Droids Attack unleashed a blistering set of heavy riffs and powerful rhythm at Hollywood's iconic Viper Room on June 25th. Brad Van (Guitar / Vocals) joked that Madison's music scene was ten years behind Hollywood. After just one song you realize that this tongue in cheek statement could not be further from the truth. The band has listed The Melvins as an influence, and although the sound will remind you of them, I would quickly add that the guitar leads are more intricate and very technical. There is a very real beauty in the deluge of raw power that comes through their amps because it is so refined and professionally delivered.
Unfortunately, not too many folks in town have heard of Droids Attack. Those that would have enjoyed the show the most ( fans of The Melvins, Clutch, etc), were still hung over from the Tool, Melvins, Clutch, Primus, Fantomas show the day before in San Bernardino. I hope that Droids Attack can make it b…
