Vans Warped Tour July 24th 2017 Milwaukee,WI part 1
Vans Warped Tour is a traveling rock festival that has toured the United States annually each summer since it started in 1995. It is the largest traveling music festival in the United States, and is the longest-running touring music festival in North America, will kick off the 2017 season on June 16th. The national festival will travel through 41 cities, coast-to-coast over a two-month stretch, closing out the 2017 festival in Pomona, California on August 6th.
The festival was founded by Kevin Lyman in 1995 with the goal of bringing skaters and punk rock music together, Vans Warped Tour has morphed over the years to keep up with the ever-changing diverse genres–pop-punk, street punk, ska-punk, metal-core, emo-pop, melodic hardcore, EDM, rap, and hip-hop. Known for catapulting bands into the spotlight, Warped Tour is also a stepping-stone for bands to share their sound with thousands of die-hard rock and punk rock enthusiasts.
The annual tour stopped in Milwaukee Wisconsin on July 24 with several solid acts. The list of headliners includes Andy Black, Neck Deep, Hawthorne Heights, Sylar, Gwar, and Hatebreed. However, the lineup does lack a bit of pizzazz compared to last year when artists like New Found Glory, Good Charlotte, Issues, Falling In Reverse, Sleeping With Sirens, Sum 41 and Yellowcard were on the bill. This year's Warped Tour really trimmed the number of acts to focus on quality and claims they are “getting back to their roots."
