Music/Atlantic recording group Frightened Rabbit have unveiled details for their upcoming North American tour. The cross-country trek includes a run of headline shows as well as a festival stop at BottleRock Festival Napa Valley.  The tour kicks off at the iconic Greek Theatre in Los Angeles on May 25th, supporting Band Of Horses.  Tickets for the newly announced headline dates will be available on Friday, January 13th at 12pm ET. Frightened Rabbit’s fifth studio album PAINTING OF A PANIC ATTACK – produced by The National’s Aaron Dessner – features the band’s current single “I Wish I Was Sober.”  The song’s cinematic companion video can be viewed HERE.
PAINTING OF A PANIC ATTACK enjoyed a Top 25 debut on the Soundscan/Billboard 200 chart upon it’s release last year, and peaked at #2 on iTunes’ Alternative chart and #8 overall. “Get Out,” the album’s lead single, garnered worldwide critical acclaim, including  NPR’s All Songs Considered which praised, “Anyone who’s ever fallen in love knows how torturous it can be. The stomach-turning collision of fear and desire can leave anyone a wreck. ‘Get Out’…captures this tumult perfectly.” The band performed “Get Out” on CBS’ “The Late Late Show with James Corden,” following the U.S. television debut of the song on CBS’ “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.”
Frightened Rabbit toured extensively in support of PAINTING OF A PANIC ATTACK in last year, including two national tours and festival performances at Lollapalooza (Chicago, IL), Austin City Limits (Austin, TX), Newport Folk Festival (Newport, RI) and Meadows Festival (New York, NY). The band’s emotionally charged live shows have earned them a devoted fanbase, which includes bands like Death Cab For Cutie and The National – both of whom handpicked Frightened Rabbit to support them on extensive tours in previous years.
Frightened Rabbit is: Scott Hutchison (lead vocals/rhythm guitar), Grant Hutchison (drums), Billy Kennedy (bass), Andy Monaghan (guitar/keys) and Simon Liddell (guitar/keys)
