FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH, SHINEDOWN, AND SIXX:AM SHOW REVIEW AND PHOTO GALLERY FROM BIG SANDY SUPERSTORE ARENA BY COEN BECK AND NICK BALL!

On Saturday December 3rd Five Finger Death Punch, Shinedown, and Sixx:A.M. arrived in Huntington, West Virginia to play at the Big Sandy Superstore Arena. They are currently finishing up their massive arena tour which started all the way back in mid-October. This co-headling tour between FFDP and Shinedown has been an overall success for the bands involved and the fans who have traveled far and wide to attend. Recently with Ivan Moody lead singer of Five Finger Death Punch falling ill, some things have change but the fans have remained loyal and are still showing up by the thousands.
Driving through earlier in the day the venue was a mad house. Lines so long that people were standing in the road. With Ivan Moody unable to finish out this tour, Phil Labonte lead singer of All That Remains stepped in to make sure the show would still go on. Believe me when I say, fans were not disappointed.

Opening band As Lions set the mood as the crowds were piling in, grabbing their first or fifth beer of the evening and gearing up for their favorite bands. As Sixx:A.M. took the stage, people were wired. Everyone was screaming with excitement and the band brought the energy they were looking for. DJ Ashba, famously known guitar player had his Schecter signature guitar on full display while he was churning out all of his sweet riffs!

During Shinedown the pyrotechnics were absolutely insane. You could feel the heat from the nose bleed seats! They had a strong performance from beginning to end.  Brent Smith’s voice was top notch and that is something that has really stuck out in my mind from the show. He is a very talented individual as well as the other members. They have stage chemistry that is uncanny.

As FFDP began, Chris Kael bass player for the band made sure to let fans know that they certainly missed Ivan and wished him well. He also graciously thanked Phil Labonte for taking care of them and the fans in their time of need and gave a bit of a back story on him. Phil got on that stage and brought the spirit of Ivan for sure. I do believe that out of this different show experience fans took a home with them something they will never forget.

This tour as a whole was a combination of extreme talent and drive. It is plain to see that everyone in the bands along with their teams helped create and outstanding tour that was able to draw a crowd of all ages! I know we are all thrilled as well to see Ivan Moody take the stage again soon.
