THE DOWN AND OUTLAWS AT SXSW 2016 - PHOTO GALLERY BY MICHAEL MULLENIX

And now for a story about a chance Scwarma and last year's SXSW Festival.  I caught a fantastic group last year at SXSW called the Down And Outlaws playing at the Blind Pig on 6th St.  A Gritty and biting rock and roll band from San Francisco with killer grooves and an old-school Punk Rock blend.  Well this year, enjoying a spicy pita sandwich at Schwarma Point on Red River St, I happened to be sitting across from Bassist Chris Danzig (not sure if there is a relation), who invited me to check out their next set.  As part of the Big Picture Media takeover of the Handlebar (bar on 5th st), the Down and Outlaws made a huge splash and I could not be more thrilled to share the sights of this incredible group from The Bay.
