MORGOTH reveals cover artwork for new album, 'Ungod'

Image
MORGOTH has revealed the cover artwork for their upcoming studio album,Ungod, which is set to be released on March 30th in Europe and April 7th in North America via Century Media Records. The atmosphere of Ungod was perfectly captured by Greek cover designer Seth Siro Anton (PARADISE LOST, SOILWORK, MOONSPELL, etc.), who transformed it into an eerie piece of delusion and despair.
MORGOTH comments on the collaboration: "We are very happy to have worked with Seth for the cover artwork of the album. We knew it wouldn't be very easy to put the title 'Ungod' into a design that is vivid, brutal and aesthetic at the same time. We had received a couple of good different suggestions for the artwork, but Seth's simply was the one who pictured exactly what was already in our minds. It can roughly be described as God drowning in the void, killing its own creation and becoming the 'Ungod' - The dawn of the Antichrist."

With lyrics inspired by Cyberpunk imagery and subculture Dope Stars Inc. have been mixing industrial beats, acid synths and distorted sounds with a bratty rock’n’roll sound and attitude since their foundation in may 2003. Revolver Magazine recently premiered the song "Dressed Inside Your Fear" off of TeraPunk on their website. Tom DeLonge's Letter To The Fans.

Image
via Tom DeLonge Facebook page  Where to begin? The truth is always a good place. Let’s go there. I love Blink and am incredibly grateful for having it in my life. It has given me everything. EVERYTHING. I started this band, it was in my garage where I dreamed up the mischief. So what have I been doing behind the scenes? Well, I’ve tried to make things work. I’ve tried to help move this band down 50 different paths using my people, or other people, and people we don’t even know. I tried to put forth ideas about how we can grow and challenge ourselves to become a better band. I’m not sitting around waiting for someone else to do the work. I’m not wired that way. The big reset was when I tried to put together a band summit in Utah where we’d talk and work things out. It quickly was narrowed down to three hours in someone’s dressing room in a shitty casino. What I hoped would be a positive get-together away from everything turned into an awkward meeting in a smelly convention hall dressi…

BARREN EARTH - launched first track & reveal first album details!

Image
Finnish progressive death metal outfit BARREN EARTH, now reinforced by Faroese native lead singer Jón Aldará, have just launched the title track of their highly awaited upcoming third full-length. The album will be entitled "On Lonely Towers" and will be released via Century Media Records on March 30th, 2015 in Europe and March 24th, 2015 in North America.
You can listen to the song here:

Bassist Olli-Pekka Laine comments: "During the writing process of the album, we did many things from a totally new perspective. If there ever was a certain pattern in a basic Barren Earth song, this time we consciously tried to think things differently. Many other things changed too, some of them unintentionally, some of them willfully. A new production team, a new front man, a new record label... The list goes on.
With the first song representing the album, we make no exception. Instead of putting out a song in a typical verse-chorus form, we thought that this 3-piece boulder would sta…

Behemoth to release official biography on Metal Blade Records.

Image
Behemoth: Devil's Conquistadors by Lukasz Dunaj serves as the definitive Behemothbiography. This book, officially blessed, or rather damned, by Behemoth, serves as an in depth look at the history of the events that materially influenced the band. As Dunaj points out in the intro, this isn't "Poland's response to Motley Crue's biography The Dirt." Simply put,Behemoth: Devil's Conquistadors is the story of Behemoth, their music, and their rise to the upper echelon of metal and becoming a household name in their native homeland, Poland.

Behemoth: Devil's Conquistadors is a 490 page, hardcover tome that is being released by Metal Blade Records in February 2015. The book includes quotes and anecdotes from current and former members that provide context and details in addition to the author's narrative, plus interviews with Tomas Krajewski, Rob Darken, Graal, Havok, and more. The artistically presented pages are splattered with old photos of the band, fl…

On Monday, Blink-182 was announced as a headliner of the Musink Tattoo & Music Festival, to be held March 20-22 in Los Angeles, with Alkaline Trio's Matt Skiba joining the group in place of DeLonge. "We were all set to play this festival and record a new album and Tom kept putting it off without reason," the group wrote in the statement. "A week before we were scheduled to go in to the studio we got an email from his manager explaining that he didn't want to participate in any Blink-182 projects indefinitely, but would rather work on his other non-musical endeavors. No hard feelings, but the show must go on for our fans."
