DIERKS BENTLEY AT THE AUSTIN360 AMPHITHEATER - PHOTO GALLERY AND REVIEW BY MICHAEL MULLENIX

We are closing out the summer season, the nights are getting longer as the biggest concert tours enter into the final leg of their runs.  Having hit nearly every major Nashville Artist's big summer extravaganza, we end this season off right with Dierks Bentley's arrival to the Austin360 Amphitheater.  Appearing with Canaan Smith, Kip Moore, and Maddie And Tae, Bentley closed the Summer Country season out properly with an incredible performance.

Dierks set in Austin was spellbinding, a non-stop jukebox of incredible hits one after the next.  Starting on an established hit with Sideways, he kept the momentum going pouring into 5-1-5-0, I Hold On, and Tip It On Back.  He descended from a riser in the back of the stage and had an extended stage that brought him up close and personal with the crowd in the party pit at the front of the stage.  During the song Am I The Only One he brought up one excited audience member to shotgun a Tall Boy with him.  Later in the set, for the first time I have seen this anywhere, during the song Come A Little Closer, he not only walked amongst the crowds in the seats, but had a smaller stage set up right at the front of the lawn to play out the rest of his set.  Bringing his guitarists with him, they stayed up there through the songs Back Porch and Home.  Back at the MainStage he was then joined onstage by both Cannan Smith but also Maddie And Tae for a group rendition on Free And Easy (Down The Road I Go).  At the end of the night, he came back onstage intro'd by a movie featuring John Schneider (Bo Duke) for What Was I Thinking and finished on his breakout hit, Drunk On A Plane.

It is my pleasure to introduce to our magazine, DIERKS BENTLEY!
