SWEDISH METAL VETS TAD MOROSE UNLEASH 'ST. DEMONIUS'
Months of anticipation and online fervor have led up to today's highly anticipated release of Tad Morose's eighth album, St. Demonius.
Recorded at Claustrophobic Studios in Geffe, Sweden and produced by the band themselves, St. Demonius is the band's second album for upstart label Despotz Records and is exactly what one has come to expect from the Swedish metal heroes - only more straight forward, unnecessarily complicated, slower, faster, more melodic and heavier, in the words of the collective band members.
The album's tone is immediately set with the opening track, "Bow to the Reaper's Blade," a frantic number delivered at breakneck speed highlighted by time changes and frontman Ronny Hemlin's powerful voice,, pushed way out front, followed by the dark, melodic punch of first single, "Forlorn." With "Remain" the quintet delivers a bonafide power metal anthem while "The Shadows Play," "Fear Subside" and "Dream of Memories" highlight the riff exchange between ex Torch guitarist Kenneth Jonsson and tad Morose founder / mainman Christer "Krunt" Andersson.
St. Demonius is out worldwide now
