Slaves not only to the sword, but the road as well, the Los Angeles-based metal act EXMORTUS refuses to rest, as they've just announced a fall tour in support of Marty Friedman on the legendary guitarist's first North American tour in 12 years. The 21-date tour will kick off in Baltimore on Sept. 9.
Says guitarist David Rivera, "This tour is going to be insane! Touring with one of my idols is unreal!"
But that's not all, folks: Soon after stunning a capacity crowd at Prosthetic's "West Coast Metal Meeting"on Saturday, EXMORTUS headed east to Denver, where tonight the group kicks off a short summer tour with fellow Angelenos Kyng. The band will continue to shred faces and guitars alike as they sample new material from their upcoming album -- which they recently completed recording at Sharkbite Studios in Oakland, Calif. with Zack Ohren (Suffocation, Immolation) -- on unsuspecting crowds. A complete listing of their upcoming tour dates (which also includes details about their early 2016 trek with Enforcer, Warbringer and Cauldron) can be found below.
EXMORTUS' forthcoming album will mark the band's sophomore release for Prosthetic Records, and the follow-up to their highly acclaimed 2014 release "Slave to the Sword." It sees the addition of bassist Michael Cosio (ex-Abysmal Dawn) to the group's existing line-up of Conan (vocals/guitars), Mario Moreno (drums) and Rivera.
Moreno commented on the new album,"Writing and recording this record was no easy task, but we got through it and are extremely happy with the end result. It's a 'metal buffet' with a little something for everyone to enjoy. Getting the chance to record with Zack again was great, especially to be tracking in a bigger studio than the last album. A tedious process but fulfilling none the less. Hard to believe we spent half a month tracking for this album. I'm confident in saying that this is the best EXMORTUS album to date. You can groove, headbang and air guitar to it, what's not to love!?"
Added Conan, "It was great to work with Zack again. He understands our vision and gets the best out of each of us. Our work is incomplete without his encouragement and sonic wizardry. Wrought in fires hotter than Hell itself, we are very proud of this new steel. This record is everything you love about EXMORTUS and then some. Revel in our battle cries, screaming guitars, crushing bass and thunderous drums! The storm is coming! We ride forth!"
Described as "a blistering blend of European-influenced, neo-classical thrash metal” (LA Weekly),EXMORTUS have emblazoned their name across mainstream and underground media with relentless touring alongside acts like Flotsam & Jetsam, Destruction, Dark Tranquillity, Krisiun and Hatchet along with appearances on national television (via a commercial for Virgin Mobile), at a minor league baseball game (where they performed a shred-tastic rendition of the National Anthem) and at a recent LA Kiss Arena Football game, during which they performed live. More information about the group's new album will be revealed in the coming weeks.

James Schmid from Waterloo, Ontorio. Alter Bridge provides everything you'd expect from a rock radio hit, while also giving die hard AB fans everything they expect from their beloved band with My Champion.
The song opens with a guitar riff reminiscent of Def Leppards "Photograph" before hitting you square in the face with a "heavy for radio" sound that remains catchy without disappointing their "we like it fast and hard" fans. Their fan base, and music ranges in such a wide spectrum, it…
Cane Hill brought their Louisiana industrial sound to the
Chameleon Club in Lancaster, Pennsylvania on March 11th of 2017. It
was a Saturday night which meant the people of PA were ready to party! There is
always a party following this band. Their energetic sound ignites something in
people. As they took the stage as the opener of the “Let’s Get
Abducted Tour” the crowd was anxious. They played multiple songs from their
2016 summer released album “Smile” and to the bands surprise most of the folks
watching them were mouthing the words. As they recently got back from touring
overseas it has come to their attention that they are steadily gaining
popularity. The link below allows you to find where they will be next along
with album and merchandise purchasing info. Look out world, Cane Hill is coming

version of the song "Metalingus" was originally recorded for ALTER BRIDGE's debut album One Day Remains. The song reached a
whole new audience when it was selected as the official entrance theme of WWE
superstar Edge back in 2004! Those years following, would have the song played
weekly on television right up until the day he retired in 2011 and is still
used every time he returns even until today. Live at the O2 Arena + Rarities is avai…
