SPRING BREAKDOWN!!!  I get sent to the craziest places sometimes.  This week was Whittier, California for a park festival called the Spring Breakdown.  Headlining the event was Otep, with As Blood Runs Black as the spiritual support for the evening.  Otep has been marching on for over a decade, between two labels and a several festival runs, Otep and crew make up one of the most consistently fascinating live acts of the metal genre.  This underground phenomena is exhilarating, theatrical, and primal.  In a way, Otep was a prototype for groups like In This Moment and Butcher Babies.  Ladies and Gentlemen, it is my pleasure to give you, OTEP!
