Tommy thank you for taking out some time from touring to answer some questions. BAH: Prong have been around since the late 1980's, what do you contribute your lasting success? TV: I don’t know for sure. Maybe it has something to do with when I was 11 years old I just wanted to be in a band get on stage and get the hell out of where I was. That feeling remained for a long time and it may be hard wired into me. I can’t explain a lot of it. I know I’ve wanted to get out of the whole band thing several times and I somehow get pulled back in. Success is relative though. To some I’m successful to others I’m not. Against What's Best is a 4-piece pop-punk band out of Watertown, New York, heavily inspired by bands like All Time Low, A Day to Remember, and Four Year Strong. They combine catchy melodies, relatable lyrics, upbeat drums, and heavy guitar riffs to create music that they all love.
Against What's Best formed when brothers Jake Harris, and Alex Harris decided to start writing music together. Jake was previously working on solo acoustic material, while Alex wanted to be in a heavy metal band. They compromised, and began writing original pop-punk until they could find other band members. Jake would be the rhythm guitarist/vocalist, and Alex would be the lead guitarist. They eventually recruited their long time friend Kyle Anders, as the bassist/vocalist, and long time friend Justin Edgar, as the drummer. They released their debut self-recorded 6 track EP "Wasting Away In Upstate" on March 15th, 2016. Shortly after, they began the writing process for their first full leng…
