TOXIC HOLOCAUST Releases Lyric Video For “Agony of the Damned”, From The Ashes Of Nuclear Destruction Collection To Drop Next Month

Portland’s favorite punk/metal delinquents TOXIC HOLOCAUST recently unleashed a new lyric video for “Agony of the Damned.” Initially featured on the band’s 2011 Conjure and Command full-length, “Agony Of The Damned” makes an “updated” appearance on the From The Ashes Of Nuclear Destruction compilation, set for release via Relapse Records next month.
Elaborates band mastermind Joel Grind: “This version of ‘Agony of the Damned’ was recorded in September of 2010 with a drum machine a few months before we stepped into the studio to record the one that appears on Conjure and Command. When making an album, I usually demo out the entire thing before I step into a studio. This keeps costs low and gives me time to sit with it to iron out the details. Since Conjure and Command was the first TOXIC record to feature a full band, this demo served the purpose of familiarizing everyone with the new material and is previously unreleased.”

Chicago doom misanthropes INDIAN recently completed work on their forthcoming studio offering for Relapse Records!!!

Chicago doom misanthropes INDIAN recently completed work on their forthcoming studio offering for Relapse Records. The follow-up to 2011’s critically lauded Guiltless long player was recorded at Electrical Audio and Soma Studios in Chicago with engineer/co-producer Sanford Parker (Minsk, Nachtmystium, Yob, Samothrace). Additional synthesis contributions have been provided by Parker and Mark Solotroff.
Comments the band on the new material: “The four of us are pleased to announce the completion of our fifth full length album. It is our darkest and most varied material to date."
Since 2004, INDIAN has released a glut of well-loved records up through Guiltless, which Revolver Magazine appropriately dubbed “one of the most bewitching, hypnotizing, beautiful doom/sludge albums since [Electric] Wizard’s Dopethrone.” This is no small accolade, and INDIAN is among the few masters of heavy music today worthy of such praise. But they didn’t earn it overnight.
In fact, INDIAN spent much of…
