Five Finger Death Punch are doing what they can to help prevent suicide by launching a new initiative in conjunction with their upcoming music video for their current single ‘Coming Down.’
Whether it’s supporting the troops or speaking out on emotional neglect — as they did with their previousmusic video for ‘Remember Everything‘ — Five Finger are no strangers to doing their part for a worthy cause. Their latest philanthropic endeavor is suicide prevention — a topic they dive into head-first with ‘Coming Down’, their third single from ‘American Capitalist.’
“Step away from the ledge / I’m coming down,” vocalist Ivan Moody screams during the song’s chorus, a message the band plans to further with the soon-to-be-released music video for the track. “Through support and awareness, suicide can be prevented,” says guitarist Zoltan Bathory. “Five Finger Death Punch is promoting the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline to build awareness that there is support out there for those in need through the Lifeline’s service, and others. This is an important initiative we have taken on to place it on the consciousness of the public that you are not alone when in need.”
The clip — which premieres June 12 — promises to visually captivating, or as Bathory put it in our recent interview, “It’s a pretty heavy video.” The band members will be completely absent for this outing, being represented only by their song and its important message. The music video’s final frame will display the call to action: “Don’t ignore the chance to get help for you or someone you know who might be in crisis. Call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline now at 1-800-273-TALK (8255), suicidepreventionlifeline.org.”

James Schmid from Waterloo, Ontorio. Alter Bridge provides everything you'd expect from a rock radio hit, while also giving die hard AB fans everything they expect from their beloved band with My Champion.
The song opens with a guitar riff reminiscent of Def Leppards "Photograph" before hitting you square in the face with a "heavy for radio" sound that remains catchy without disappointing their "we like it fast and hard" fans. Their fan base, and music ranges in such a wide spectrum, it…
